Members of the Sam and Esther Dolgoff Institute join Anarchist groups throughout the world in opposing Putin’s war, which has as its immediate goal the subjugation of the Ukrainian people.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with Ukrainian Anarchists, who have responded to the needs of Ukrainians by providing mutual aid to civilians and the wounded. Ukrainian Anarchists also actively participate in territorial defense groups.
We also stand in solidarity with Anarchist groups in Russia who protest Putin’s war. Like all protestors in Russia, Anarchists do so at great risk of police brutality and arrest.
Tens of thousands of Ukrainian lives, civilian as well as military, are being lost. We believe negotiations to end the carnage are imperative and will save many lives, and that is essential.
